Who would have heard of IT Company employing only women?

With escalating competition in the market, Information and Technology (IT) has acted as exploding mayhem. However, IT has developed and formed arenas for companies to proliferate. There are thousand and one IT companies in Nepal, but Websearch Professional (WSP) has left behind a path for others to follow.

WSP is not the first IT Company in Nepal as it was established in 2005 only but it definitely is the first IT Company employing only women. Unlike many other companies WSP creates websites of high quality suitable for both human visitors and the search engines. At WSP, professionals work on Internet marketing, search engine optimisation and search engine promotion and create designs of international standard and work towards making the web programming more dynamic. Foreign investments and customer are the main resource of WSP and through them WSP also contributes a good deal to the national economy. The trend of IT in Nepali context is still inferior to that in other countries. The IT explosion is still in the developmental phase and people need to take it more seriously. "We are working to combine profit with a cause for social development by employing and giving opportunities to women," says Björn Söderberg, CEO of WSP. Soderberg adds, "The IT field is growing rapidly but there are only men working in this field. There are plenty of women with the right education but they don't get any jobs and this is what we want to change." He anticipates that the company expects to contribute decently in the economic sector as well.
